The VEKOP – 5.1.1-5.1.2 – 16 – entitled subsidy for building energy developments realized with renewable energy application combined with loan products, in the framework of which non-repayable subsidy and favorable interest loans can be received for the following developments:
- Heat insulation, door and window replacement of buildings (improvement of heat technology characteristics, reduction of heat loss)
- Modernization of heating, air conditioning and the production of utility hot water systems of buildings
- Energy efficient conversion of existing indoors lighting and street lighting system
- Installation of solar panel system (for the replacement of electricity consumption)
- Installation of solar collector system (for the purpose of heating and production of utility hot water)
- Installation of furnace system (briquette, pellet, wood chips, wood gassing system)
- Application of heat pump systems (for the purpose of heating/air conditioning and production of utility hot water)
In the tender a maximum of 45% of the investment’s value can be received as non-repayable subsidy, and an additional maximum of 45% as favorable interest loan. Using the subsidy and the loan concurrently is mandatory!
For investments resulting in energy saving a minimum of 10 % own resource is required.

Main information about the tender:
- Eligible tenderers: micro, small and medium size businesses
- Implementation site: the entire territory of Hungary, except Budapest and Pest County
- Range of subsidized activities: building engineering modernization and the installation of renewable energy utilizing systems (only complex projects may be subsidized)
- Subsidy amount:
- non-repayable subsidy: min. HUF 3 million, max. HUF 50 million
- repayable loan: min. HUF 3 million, max. HUF 50 million
What conditions must the enterprise comply with?
- At least 1 concluded, complete business year
- Average statistical employee headcount in 2015: at least 1 person
- Net annual revenue in 2015: at least HUF 25 million
- Form of incorporation: business association with legal entity; private entrepreneurs and private companies subject to personal income tax (SZJA)
For the tender subsidizing complex investment projects applications may be submitted starting on 08 February 2017, together with the tender data sheet, the energy annexes and the documentation necessary for the loan application.
